February 26th, 1947 – December 14th, 2023
“Kenny,” as he was known to most, left this world on 12/14/2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sisters, and brothers. He is survived by his brother, James Taylor, and two sisters, Sue Johnson and Ginger Cowell. He leaves behind four sons: Kenneth Taylor Jr. & his wife Angel Taylor, Daniel Taylor & his wife Tammy Taylor, David Taylor & his wife Bernadine Taylor, and Michael Taylor & fiancée Kasi Marshall. He had six grandchildren: Kelly Cromartie, Kenneth Taylor, William Taylor, Destinee Taylor, Samantha Taylor, and Edna Taylor. In addition, he had 6 Great Grandchildren: Ian, Aria, Rachel, Maddox, Madeline, & Elliana.
Kenny loved spending time near the water. He visited Naylors Beach almost every 4th of July. He loved going to Colonial Beach to watch the water and, of course, fish. Kings Dominion was also one of his favorite pastimes; he loved floating the Lazy River. He loved to shop or browse stores, and he had a special love for Christmas time.
He was somewhat of a road runner, always on the go. Often, it was going to Wawa for a cup of coffee, shopping at Walmart, or just cruising the town — he loved just being out.
Kenny spent almost every weekend visiting his boys for coffee and eventually “Old People Cake” made by his great-grandson Maddox. Kenny was a devoted grandfather & great-grandfather who never missed a birthday, holiday, or special event. All the kids loved him and knew they could count on him always to be there.
It’s amazing that one man impacted so many people and now leaves behind so many who loved him, maybe more than he will ever know.
Until we meet again, you will remain in our hearts.
