Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintRobert “Bob” Edwards, longtime broadcasting host of National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition” passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 76. Edwards is most known for being the host of NPR’s longstanding morning show and was also a Peabody Award winner and a National Radio Hall of Fame inductee, who later joined SiriusXM satellite radio. His radio career started during the Vietnam War, where he served in the U.S. Army, producing and anchoring television and radio news programs for the AFN, and later authored several books.
He is survived by his wife, Windsor Johnston, as well as two daughters and their families.
A service will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
