STANLEY, Doris Terry, 86, of Caroline, VA, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family on May 23rd, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry B. and  Martha Ann Terry; and her older brother, Henry C. Terry. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Grayson W. Stanley; her son, Mark Brown and his wife Michelle; her grandson, Jordan S. Brown; her sister, Jean T. Barlow, sister-in-law, Helen G. Terry; and many special nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, and Mimi (to her only grandson, Jordan). She and Grayson spent many amazing years together, building an inseparable bond.  Spending time with her family was one of the many joys in life.  She enjoyed going out to eat with her loved ones and having meaningful conversations with them in the process.  She was a follower of Christ and incorporated Him into her daily life, taking time to read scripture that uplifted her soul.  She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM, Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 at Riverside Baptist Church, 20057 Teman Rd., Beaverdam, VA 23015, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM with interment to follow at Carmel Baptist Church, 24320 US-1, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
