Scott Wilson Harris, 61, of Salvo, North Carolina, left this earth on June 23, 2024, following a long courageous battle with Leukemia. He grew up in Churchland, Virginia, and spent most of his adult life on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He retired as a distribution operator for the Dare County Water Department. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Spencer Harris, and his only sibling, Boyd Keith Harris. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Lynn Blatt Jordan, his mother, Carolyn DeLancey Harris and his adult stepchildren, Justin Clark Jordan and Jo-Elsa Suzanne Jordan. Scott, a waterman by nature, will be remembered for his love of travel in search of the best waves, with Hawaii being his most challenging surf destination. He was an excellent carpenter, an avid golfer, a fisherman and a lover of many different genres of music. Playing his guitar was a favorite pastime. May he rest in peace surfing Heaven’s eternal waves. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Salvo, North Carolina. Scott was a lover of all animals, especially feral cats. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
