Norman Edwin Brabant, of King George, passed away peacefully on 22 June 2024, at 88 years old. Norman was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, where he enjoyed working at his father’s lobster pound growing up. Following graduation from Exeter High School and Phillips Exeter Academy, Norman enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for 12 years.  He then owned and operated Brabant’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service for over 50 years.  In addition, Norman and his late wife, Karlene, owned and operated the Circle Sundries in King George for several years. He loved golfing, fishing, and traveling. While his kids were in school, Norman avidly followed high school sports.

Norman was predeceased by his wife Karlene (nee Bernier). He is survived by his children Darlene, Larry (Shawn), Mark, Wilfred (Jeena), and Sheila; grandchildren Michael, Kayla, Stephanie, Kara, and Jessica; great grandchildren Cooper, Carter and future great granddaughter Khloé; and his loving caretaker Phyllis Jett.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 Sunday, July 14, at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Norman’s memory.
