Jerome “Jerry” Vazquez, 59, passed away on July 27, 2024. A free spirit, Jerry lived his life the way he wanted to. He cherished moments with family and friends. Jerome had an outgoing personality and loved to laugh. He had a passion for motorcycles and found joy in the open road. A skilled carpenter, Jerry’s early career saw him constructing high-rise buildings in Florida. Locally, he left his mark by building the tables at the Tiki Bar at High Tides. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry & Tootsie Vazquez. Jerry is survived by his children, Jessica Vazquez and Cory Vazquez; grandchildren, Jayden, Bryce, and Brenden; sister, Charmaine Vazquez; brothers, Christopher Vazquez, Nowell Vazquez, and Brian Vazquez; four nieces and one nephew that often referred to him as “Uncle Scary”; and many other extended family members. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at High Tides on the Potomac (205 Taylor St, Colonial Beach, VA).
