Donald “Lee” Robinson, III, 31 of Mechanicsville, formerly of Penola, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Richmond, Lee grew up in Caroline County and graduated from Caroline High School. Lee was known as a playful jokester, who could put anything to a creative tune.  He had a big heart and loved his family and friends very much.  Although Lee was an only child, he was always surrounded by plenty of others, be it his parents, grandparents, or cousins.  Lee enjoyed spending time at the campground with Moe, and playing endlessly in Bowling Green at Nannie and Baubie’s house with his cousins. He was always the baby of the family wherever he went, a title he wore proudly.  Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. But above all, what Lee loved the most was being dad to Lillian and Mason.  He delighted in them and lit up whenever they were around. They truly were his pride and joy. Lee is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Lillian Robinson, and Donald and Phyllis Davis. Lee is survived by his family who promise to carry on traditions and love to his children in his memory.  He is survived by his children, Lillian and Mason Robinson; his parents, Don and Robin Robinson; the mother of his children, Miranda Robinson; his girlfriend Shelby Wilson, and her children, Austin, Paisley and Roman; his uncle, Mike Davis and his wife Tammy, his aunts, Brenda “Faye” Bowles, Peggy Wright, and Judy Beazley and her husband Uncle Darrell; and his cousins, Brad Davis, Ashley Morgan, Jonathan Ratcliffe, Whitney Watts, Jarred Alsop, Morgan Schoonover, and Tyler Dunnington. Lee also had a host of special friends who stuck by him and shared many fun times together.  A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 2:00pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin James officiating. In Lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
