Aubrey S. Mitchell, 89 went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2024. Born in Foneswood Va. to Stanford and Edna Mae Mitchell. Aubrey graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with his bachelors’ degree in Agriculture Education. Aubrey served in the Virginia National Guard. He worked for T.W. Woods & Sons before starting his career with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a Dairy Inspector.  Aubrey was a deacon of Ephesus Christian Church in Foneswood Va.  He was a member of the Virginia Santas.   Aubrey was a lifetime member of the King George Ruritan Club.  His passion for the Ruritan Club led him to be Zone 6 District Governor and was awarded the Tom Downing Award.  For many years he was Treasurer for King George Little League.  Aubrey served on the Board of Directors for the Northern Neck Farm Museum. Aubrey is survived by his wife, Brenda Haga Mitchell, and his two sons Aubrey S. Mitchell, Jr. (Robin) and Clarence Stephen Mitchell (Allie) and Granddaughter Norah Mitchell, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Roger Mitchell, and his sister Barbara Ann Mitchell VanLandingham. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home in King George Va.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday September 19, 2024 at Ephesus Christian Church Foneswood, Va. Visitation & Funeral Service Information

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home in King George Va. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday September 19, 2024 at Ephesus Christian Church Foneswood, Va.
