Florence (Hazel) Kvesich, age 96, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away on September 11, 2024. Hazel was born on June 25, 1928, to Florence Gertrude and George Hazelwood Farish in King George, Virginia. She had one sister, Shirley Ann Farish Wright. Hazel graduated from Caroline High School in 1945.  As soon as she graduated – on her 17^th birthday – she started working for the United States Federal Government. She held jobs at Dahlgren Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Rhoda, Spain, as well in California, Pennsylvania and Kansas City, Missouri.  She retired from the Federal Government in 1974. In 1980 she moved to Henrico, Virginia. Hazel was predeceased by her parents, her sister, and a niece, Zondra Wright Franklin. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Historyland Memorial Park & Arboretum, 11227 James Madison Parkway, King George, Virginia  22485. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire to donate in her memory, Hazel felt strongly about helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
