Richard Douglas Minter, 66, of Milford, passed away on September 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Gladys and Woodrow “Sonny” Rodgers; and father, Horace Minter. He is survived by his loving fiancé, Lucy Dodson; children, Anthony Minter, Richard D. Minter, and Jennifer L. Robinson; grandchildren, Samuel Bradley, Ava Haas, and Miranda Minter; great-granddaughter, Heidi Haas; brothers, Raymond “Chucky” Minter and M. Dwayne Rodgers; sisters, Betty Kines, Debbie Weimer, and Laverne Pritchett; step-mother, Dorothy Rodgers; step-brothers, Gregory Rodgers and Woodrow “Bubby” Rodgers; step-sisters, Nancy Cook, Linda Gropp, and Teresa Creef; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Richard loved spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, wood working, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 11am to 12noon at the Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel, 11089 James Madison Parkway, where a funeral service will follow at 12noon. Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park.
