John Lee Orrock, 79, of Spotsylvania died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Henrico Doctors Hospital. He was born at Mattameade Farm. One of eight children born to Welford Orrock and Cornelia Houck Orrock. John retired as a supervisor at the Spotsylvania County water treatment plant. He loved being a dairy farmer, raising beef cattle and being an outdoorsman. He is survived by two children, Virginia “Jenny” Arnold (Steven) and John Lee Orrock, II (Ellen Damschen); three brothers, James “Jamie” Orrock (Sara), Robert “Bobby” Orrock (Debra)and Richard Dean Orrock (Jane); two sisters, Margaret Watkins and Lila Sugg; five grandchildren, Brandon Arnold (Erika), Bryce Arnold and Brock Arnold, Savannah Leigh Orrock and Ella Mae Damschen Orrock,  Ex-wife, mother of Jenny and friend, Jo Ann Henderson;  and Robert’s mom, Sherry Isaacs; and devoted friends, Norman Henderson, Dudley Do-right and Sammy Samaroo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Vincent Orrock; his brothers, Thomas “Tom” and William “Bill” Orrock’ and his 2^nd ex-wife, Louise Orrock, mother of John. A visitation will be held 2-4 pm Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, September 23, 2024 at Bethany Baptist Church, 5001 Arcadia Road, Woodford, VA. 22580 with Rev. Welford Orrock and Rev. Amos Healy officiating.
