Dennis L. Sale, 65, of Woodford, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at his home. Born in Fredericksburg, he was a longtime member of Round Oak Baptist Church. He retired after 45 years of being a truck driver and his fellow drivers knew him as “Wildman”. Dennis began driving with his father at E.E. Sale Trucking. He also drove for RCCI for several years, but for most of his career he was the proud owner/operator of D.L. Sale Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy Sale; his daughter, Jennifer Ernest and her husband, Paul; his grandson, Travis Ernest; his brother, Russell Sale and his wife, Kay; his mother-in-law, Lois Jones; his sister-in-law, Kim Atwell and her husband, Duane, and nieces and nephews, David Martin, Rodney Martin, Pam Hall, Amy Sellers, James Sale, Kellie Lippi, and Kristin Atwell. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Elnora Sale and his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Martin. The family will receive friends at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22^nd from 7:00 – 9:00pm. A funeral service will then follow on Monday, September 23^rd at 11:00am at Round Oak Baptist Church, Corbin, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
