René Louis Landrieux III, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2024, just days shy of his 43rd birthday. René lived a life full of love, kindness, and service to others. René was a gentle spirit with a heart as big as his smile, which lit every room he entered. His fun and playful nature made him a cherished friend and member of the community. René was known for his dedication and hard work in the defense industry as a Logistics Specialist with SCCI at NSWC Dahlgren. As a committed firefighter, René worked tirelessly to protect and serve his neighbors. His bravery and compassion for others were evident in both his professional and personal life, where he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was a hero not only in uniform but also in the way he lived his life, full of integrity, humility, and love for the people around him. René is survived by his father Rene, his sister Megan, his aunt Yvonne, and countless family and friends who will deeply miss his presence. His kindness, warm spirit, and gentle soul will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though René’s time with us was far too short, his impact on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace, in the arms of the Lord, knowing he was deeply loved. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home in King George. There will be a visitation from 1-2. The funeral will commence at 2pm. The reception will follow at CBVFD at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in René’s memory to CBVFD to support local first responders.
