Bruce Furman Worley, 74, of Ruther Glen, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Velard Furman and Inez Surrett Worley. He was a welder at a quarry for many years; a member of Cardinal Baptist Church and loved working in his yard on his tractor. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Susan Worley; a daughter Katie Crawshaw (Andy); four sisters, Liz Labrador, Shirley Grainger, Mary Ingram and Diane Marshall; a brother, Robert Worley; three grandchildren, Kaelyn Pritchard, Holden Crawshaw and Sutton Crawshaw. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephany Worley; and two sisters, Linda Carter and Elaine Hancock. A funeral will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Cardinal Baptist Church, 25050 Ruther Glen Road, Ruther Glen, VA 22546. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s.
