Lawrence Edgar McDaniel (L.E) passed away on December 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary E. McDaniel and Clyde G. McDaniel Sr; brother’s John O. McDaniel, Clyde G. McDaniel Jr; and sister Virginia M. McDaniel.

He will be missed by his wife of over 67 years, Jane R McDaniel; daughter Pamela M. Pearson; grandson Daniel S. Pearson; great granddaughter Palmer J. Pearson; along with all of his close family and friends.

Lawrence was born June 15, 1930 at the family home in King George and was the 3rd born of 4 children. He was self employed his entire life and would always help out close family and friends. He married Jane M. Reynolds on May 18, 1957 and raised 1 daughter, 1 grandson and 1 great-granddaughter. He was blessed to have spent a lot of time with his family.

Lawrence started working the family farm after school and then started hauling asphalt. He had multiple trucks and did roads and infrastructures like Skyline Drive, Dulles airport and the railroad that ran to Dahlgren. In his later years before he “retired” you could see him and his brother John doing driveways, clearing land and farming. He ran the family farm from the time he got out of high school until his death, even though he had the family farm he farmed all over the community. Along with this he would paint cars with his cousin Leroy and help out at the “filling station”. A few of his favorite places to be was in a piece of equipment whether it was with family or one of his dogs, on the river during the summer with family and friends boating and going to different events/races. Lawrence’s willingness to help out those in need will truly be missed. His jokes and love for having fun will be missed by all that know him.
