John Graham King, 83, of King George passed away surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Monday, December 23, 2024. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working the land on his beloved tractor, and traveling. Born in Silver Spring, MD, John first served in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC and then attended the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. John was a retired employee of NSWC Dahlgren and a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, the Fredericksburg Rod & Gun Club, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents Bartley and Kathleen King and his sister Mary Elizabeth Browne. John is survived by his wife Leslie King of King George, two children Debbie Sims (Will) of Deltaville and John King (Jen) of Chesterfield; two stepsons, John Bostic of Lexington, KY and Jason Bostic (Pace) of Long Beach, MS; his four grandchildren Carrington King, Eliana King, Everleigh King and Cailyn King and five step-grandchildren Rachael Bostic, Cadie Bostic, Kaitlyn Bostic, Tristan Mitchell and Bryce Mitchell. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home in King George from 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 followed by a service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in St. Paul’s Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.
Visitation & Funeral Service Information
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, King George.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2025 in St. Paul’s Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.
