Daniel Wayne Myers, 71, of Ruther Glen died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his home. Born in Washington, Missouri, he was the son of the late Waldo Lyle Myers and Gladys Elizabeth Kress Dull. Dan retired after 16 years at Rappahannock Electric Co-op. He had served as a volunteer in Frog Level Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Ladysmith Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. Dan enjoyed Nascar, loved being on the water, fishing, being in his favorite spot in his rocking chair on his front porch, and spending time with his friends & family. Dan’s greatest joy and love of his life was spending time with his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Dave Myers, Don Myers, Jan Manning, Butch Myers, Arnold Myers, and Joyce Turner; and his step-dad, Maurice Dee “Moe” Dull. Survivors include his two children, Daniel Ray Myers (Stacy) and Alison Myers Floyd (Tyler); five grandchildren, Chelsea, Colton, Owen, Ethan and Clayton; and “Mom”, Betty Ann Barlow. The family would like to give a special thanks to his longtime neighbor and friend, Chearl Mahanes. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Doswell Ruritan Club, 16433 Washington Highway, Doswell, VA 23047
