Betty M. Hanlon, 78, of Colonial Beach, VA passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025.

Betty had a passion for fishing and loved spending time with her family, often turning fishing trips into friendly competitions to see who could catch the most. Betty’s love for music shone through her singing and dancing, especially to classics like Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves. She was an avid sports fan who cheered equally for the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.

An incredibly smart and hardworking woman, Betty built a successful 25 year career as an insurance agent in Warrenton, VA. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her children, growing alongside them and creating countless cherished memories.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Lisa Davis, Tammy Clarambeau (Del), and Jesse Tyree; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 16, at St Peter’s Oak Grove Cemetery, Colonial Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate).

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 16, at St Peter’s Oak Grove Cemetery, Colonial Beach.
