Agnes Marie Owens, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in King George, VA, on January 2, 2025.

Born in Magnolia, Mississippi to William Applegate and Carrie Brown Agnes, she was preceded in death by her one true love of 67 years, Jesse Burnette Owens; brothers Eugene, Eddie and Edgar Applegate of Mississippi; and son Jerry Dale Owens of King George, VA.

Agnes is survived by her daughter Jessie Yvonne Shockly of Broken Arrow, Colorado; son John Owens (Glenda Owens) of King George, VA; grandsons Brandon Owens, Justin Owens, and Jesse Owens of King George; Virginia, Chris Shockly of Houston, Texas; granddaughter Theresa Lopez of Texas; great-grandchildren Jameson Grant Owens, Emerson Owens and Jaxon Murphy, all of King George, VA.

Agnes will be laid to rest on January 28, 2025 at Quantico National Cemetery beside her husband, Jesse B. Owens.
