Eileen America Lynch, 77, of Colonial Beach, VA passed away at her home on Friday, February 14, 2025. Eileen was born on June 11, 1947 in Washington, DC.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert, and their children, Julie Lynch Andeer (Kyle), David Lynch (Kat), and step-daughter Jenny Lynch Proctor (Brian) as well as her eight grandchildren, Winston, Barry, Sully, and Penny Andeer; David Jr. and Bruce Lynch; and Cole and Carson Proctor.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Minnie and Joe America, and her sister, Joanne Pantuso.
Eileen was the second oldest of 14 children and is survived by her siblings Trudy Dean, Joe America (Denise), Evelyn English, Peggy Hampton, Marty America (Pamela), Chriss Real (Matt), Cathy Manley, John America, Carol Wheeler (Craig), Miriam Gholl, Mary Taylor (Jim), and Jim America (Karen), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She grew up in Hyattsville and Lanham, MD and graduated from Elizabeth Seaton High School. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture at Chesapeake College while living on the eastern shore of Maryland. After moving to Charles County, MD, she worked for several years at Archbishop Neale Catholic School in LaPlata, MD before moving to Colonial Beach, VA where she worked alongside her husband at Lynch Appraisals.
Eileen enjoyed gardening and reading, and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Newport Catholic Church in Charlotte Hall.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Newport Catholic Church, 11555 St. Mary’s Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD at 11:00 am on March 6, 2025, followed by burial at the church cemetery and a reception in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mary’s Newport Catholic Church.
