Joan Suba Fouse, 73, of Colonial Beach passed away at her residence on Friday, February 14, 2025.  After graduating high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician before moving on to become a seamstress at Petersburg Manufacturing. Joan later retired as a CNA having served in Colonial Beach, King George, Bowling Green and Fredericksburg.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society.  Joan enjoyed making their house a home and filling it with love. Joan loved to bird watch in her back yard and at the park, acquiring numerous feeders for all types of birds.  She appreciated the outdoors, whether it was cutting the grass or gardening, while having planter boxes that she enjoyed filling with various plants.  Joan is survived by her husband Timothy M. Fouse; her daughter Gretchen M. Peyton (Travis) of Ashland; her granddaughters Akacia Covington of Ashland and Sydney Covington of Tampa, FL; four sisters Heather Thomson of Doylestown, PA, Kathy Suba-Buzminsky of Hesston, PA, Patricia Yearick of Millheim, PA and Julia Dural of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother David Suba of Harrisonburg, her canine companion Lottie and two special cats.  Joan requested that her services be private.
