Louise Hajacos Stewart, 91, of King George, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025.

Affectionately known as Nanny by all who loved her, Louise had a deep passion for family and a heart for children. A devoted sports fan, she cheered enthusiastically for the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves. After retiring, she and her husband dedicated their time to caring for children in their home, forming lasting bonds and welcoming many into their extended family.

Nanny cherished her time on the front porch, sharing conversations and laughter with her dear neighbor, Mr. Mike Mack, creating a friendship that brightened her days.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Stewart; daughters, Karen Seymour (Jerry) and Lisa Robertson (Curtis); parents, Robert & Lucy Wood; and siblings, Robert Wood, Jr., Linda Swim (David), and Margaret Winfrey (Ray).

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Rob Hajacos, Tony Hajacos (Melanie), and Jason Stewart (Jamie); siblings, Alice McIntyre (Walter) and Ronald Wood (Deborah); grandchildren, Cindy Bullington (Gene), Greg Seymour (Tracy), Jennifer Garrett (Robbie), Nicky Holt Sheppard (Scott), Megahnn Owen, Matthew Hajacos (Jordan), Andi Sanden (Kyle), Erica Lightner, Jon Robertson (Jenna), Taylor Krauch (Hunter), Hannah McDougal (Bailey), Collin Stewart, Gracie Stewart, Kamryn Stewart, and Olivia Stewart; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Zach, Torrie, McKenzi, Kyndul, Kyleigh, Brady, Ashton, Aniston, Maddie, Niko, Milo, Amos, Esme, Ezekiel, Ellie, Roxy, Grant, and Payton; and great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ella, and Kai.

Per her wishes, no service will be held.

Veterans held a special place in Nanny’s heart, as her beloved husband, Dennis, proudly served in the Korean War. With many family members also having served in the military, she deeply appreciated their dedication and sacrifice. In her honor, memorial donations may be made to VFW Post 12202, PO Box 433, King George, VA 22485.
