David Phillip Mundie, 68, of Milford, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Born in 1957 to the late Calvin and Mary Ann Mundie, David lived a full and hardworking life. He began working at the young age of 16 at Chance’s Garage and went on to hold numerous jobs throughout his life, ultimately retiring from Anderson Propane. David was known for his strong work ethic, his warm heart, and his love for the outdoors. David was a member of the Moose Lodge since 2008.

A true outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and never missed an opportunity to sing his favorite songs at karaoke. His love for life and family was evident in everything he did.

David is survived by his loving wife, Faye Mundie; two sons, David Mundie and Brian Mundie (Jasmyne); his siblings 2 sisters and a brother; his aunt Shirley Mae Schools; and four cherished grandchildren: Desiree Mundie (Daniel) , Destiny Mundie, Ellie Gresham, and Maddox Mundie. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Isabella Diaz.

He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Wanda Smith (Troy) and Tina Tidwell (“Bo”); nephews, Sean Tidwell (Ashleigh) and Colby Tidwell (Taylor); a great-niece, Ellie Tidwell; a great-nephew, Graesyn Johnson; and his beloved dog, Casper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Webb and Jean Beasley.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Woodcot Farm, 25131 Ruther Glen Road, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.

Flowers will be accepted at Woodcot Farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
