Thelma Burch went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2025, shortly after her 87^th birthday.  She was recently predeceased by Frank, her beloved husband of 67 years.  She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Thelma worked in public schools as an instructional assistant for children suffering with emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders.  She was able to see the good in every child and told many loving stories about them.

Thelma was a talented artist; she both made and taught ceramics and she designed floral arrangements for the altar at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD, where she was a long-time parishioner. Thelma was an avid gardener, growing produce, gorgeous flowers, and many houseplants. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting friends and family for home cooked meals.

In her retired years, Thelma enjoyed spending winters in Florida with Frank and socializing with friends there.  Thelma kept active by walking over five miles a day for many years while she would pray for her family and friends.

Thelma will be remembered as a loving and cherished mother and grandmother, always putting others before herself.  Thelma was an amazing and strong Christian woman, grounded in her faith and love for God.  Services will be private.
