Gerald William Straight, 79, of Ruther Glen died Friday, Apr. 18, 2025 at his home. Born in Pennsylvania, Gerald worked at Fort Belvoir in Night Vision for 27 years and retired from the U S Air Force after 20 years. He was deeply loved by his devoted wife, Linda Straight; two children, Belinda Straight and Gerald Straight, Jr.; four cherished grandchildren, Dallas Hughes, Lexi Hughes, Skyler McMillion and Jerry Straight.  To know him was to love him. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, embodying strength, loyalty, and courage both in and out of uniform. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone in need. He was the strongest man everyone knew—a true fighter who never gave up.

Beyond his service and his family, he had a passion for NASCAR and was a lifelong, proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit brought smiles to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him. Per his wishes he will be cremated.
