Michael Wade Gayle, 70, of Beaverdam, VA passed away on April 30, 2025.
Mike was a thoughtful and perceptive man with an analytical mind and a deep passion for antique tools, trains, and anything mechanical. He was in the process of restoring a Model A car – one of many projects that reflected his lifelong love of automobiles.
The proud owner of Bo’s Cleanup Service in Fredericksburg, Mike was well known in the community for his attention to detail and mechanical expertise. He also had a quiet wit and an incredible sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.
A man of service, Mike volunteered with Meals on Wheels and felt a genuine calling to care for others. Through his marriage to Kathy, he was blessed with a large extended family whom he loved deeply.
Mike took great pride in his home and property, especially the landscaping he so lovingly maintained. He was also a gifted artist – able to paint anything he set his mind to with precision and creativity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene & Margarette Gayle.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathy Gayle; son, Cole Metz; brothers, Wayland Gayle (Cecilia) and Rodney Gayle; aunt, Kitty Trainham (Stewart); beloved cat, Mackenzie; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends one hour prior to share stories and memories of Mike.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Feed More (www.feedmore.org).
