Herbert H. LaBrash, 92, of Lorton, VA, and formerly Lady Smith, VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 12, 2025. Born on October 10, 1932, in San Francisco, CA, Herb lived a full and meaningful life. He is survived by his son, Michael; his daughter-in-law, Ann; his grandson, Michael; and five additional grandchildren. Herb was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara.

After graduating from college, Herb embarked on a career with the Food and Drug Administration, where he played a vital role in ensuring the safety of our food supply. Upon retiring, Herb and his wife, Barb, relocated to Stockton, California, to be near their parents. There, Herb embraced new opportunities, first working as a substitute teacher before spending several years with Sprint. In the early 2000s, the couple decided to return to Virginia to be closer to their family.

Herb may have left this world, but his spirit lives on through his humor, caring nature, and talkative personality. The love he gave continues to resonate with all the lives he touched. Although he will be deeply missed, he will never be forgotten. The memories he leaves behind will forever live in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
