Gerald Scott Dodd, 59, of Callao, Virginia passed away on June 8, 2025.

Born in Berwyn Heights, Maryland, Jerry had a deep love for the outdoors and all things fast. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding motorcycles, and especially drag racing. One of his favorite places was the racetrack in Colonial Beach, where he spent many hours capturing the action on his camera.

A skilled excavator, Jerry worked in construction for many years and at one time owned and operated his own business, Dodd Excavating.

Above all, Jerry loved his family. His mother, Bonnie, meant the world to him, and that bond was something he treasured deeply throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Dodd; and nephew, Nicholas Tino.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jimmy Dodd; grandchildren, Jaxson Dodd, Jordan Dodd, Emily Ortiz, and Evan Ortiz; father, Drew Dodd; brother, Steven Dodd (Alice); sister, Sandy Hoffmiester (Steve); uncle, Joel Lipsitz; and nieces and nephews, Jeremy Dodd, Justin Dodd, Colton Dodd, Candace Titus, and Michael Tino.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Storke Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Parkway, King George, VA 22485. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow the service at the Purks Family Cemetery at Potomac Baptist Church, 8103 Comorn Rd, King George, VA 22485.
