Virginia Roadcap Kline, 87, of Fredericksburg VA recently passed away at Hughes Home in Fredericksburg VA.

Virginia was born in Fulks Run, VA where she lived until she married Homer M. Kline, Jr., who predeceased her. She is survived by, son Milton (Linda), grandson Erik, and great-grandson Cayden and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by brothers Lawson “Tobb” Roadcap, William “Tuck” Roadcap, Alvin “Dick” Roadcap and sister Nova Fulk.

Known as Mrs. Kline to hundreds of young scholars, Virginia owned and operated Greenbrier Preschool in King George, VA for over 25 years. Prior to coming to King George for Homer’s new job as Superintendent of Schools in King George County, Virginia operated her signature Greenbrier school in Amelia, Louisa and Charlottesville, VA. Whenever the family moved for Homer’s career in school administration, the school was also relocated. Virginia was a long-time member of the Rebekahs and chaired the UN Youth Pilgrimage Program for her lodge. Thanks to Virginia’s efforts, many high school students in the area were able to visit the United Nations and major east coast cities with youth from around the world.

Virginia’s family is grateful to everyone at Hughes Home for their love and care during her final years and to Virginia’s personal caregivers, Cheryl, Amanda and Carolyn.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 2:00pm in Hollywood Church of the Brethren 225 Ferry Road, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place later at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Broadway.
