Born in Pennsylvania to the late George and Althea Rittenhouse Dewey, she had lived most of her life in Virginia, including over 20 years in Stafford. She had retired from Unisys before moving to Colonial Beach. She had served as a volunteer at Westmoreland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Her greatest delight was in spending time with her family. She spent vacation time with the grandchildren at Ocean City and looked forward to the family Thanksgiving celebrations every year.
Among her survivors are her husband of 55 years, Basil Weakley, children, Michelle Parker and Michael Weakley, grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany, Tiffany, Julianna and Mike, great grandchildren, Jackson and Mia, her sisters, Mary Jane Leight and Michelle Moore and many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by daughter, Karen Lynn Weakley, and brother, John Dewey.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach.
