Inge Littman, 84, of Colonial Beach died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.  Born February 8, 1936 in Aalborg, Denmark to the late Rasmus Peter and Edith Jensen Kristensen.  Inge attended trade school to become a professional hairdresser in Copenhagen.  After her apprenticeship, she came to New York in 1958 to work for Moore-McCormack Line aboard the S.S. Brasil cruise ship managing the beauty salon.  She met her husband, Jack, who was a Communications Officer on the ship and after many adventures together working aboard a cruise ship, they married in 1962.  Shortly after they married, Jack started to work for the Dept. of State and they moved to Seville, Spain for 8 years.  Inge and Jack welcomed their two sons’ while living in Spain (they returned for another 2 year assignment in the late 1970’s).  They lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Woodbridge & Manassas, Virginia before retiring to the relaxed pace of Colonial Beach, Virginia.

Inge was always happy and very proud of her Danish Heritage.  She dabbled in retail through the years and became a realtor in the 1980’s.  She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her grandkids.

Inge was preceded in death by her husband Jacob “Jack” Littman and brother Sven Kristensen.  She is survived her son Hans Littman and wife Leanne and three grandchildren, Kristiana, Jessica and Jacob all of Leesburg, VA and son Peter Littman and wife Kim of Baltimore, MD.

Due to COVID-19, there will only be a graveside service for family and close friends.  Interment at Quantico National Cemetery will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021.
