With a heart not quite big enough to contain all his love, William Keith Ayers, 50, passed away after the shocking end of an exciting playoff game. Over a decade ago, he met his surviving wife, Robin McLaughlin, and became a father figure to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom he loved and cherished as if they were his own. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Nora (Elswick) Ayers, and both sets of grandparents. William somehow managed to withstand growing up between his surviving siblings, James Melvin (and his wife, Stephanie) and Cynthia Rena Ayers. A beloved uncle survived by three nephews, Dakota, Jacob, and Connor, and three nieces, Melissa, Kaycee, and Savannah, four great nephews, two great nieces, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins from both his parents’ sides, his generous and compassionate nature filled his life with a vast extended family and plenty of friends. His legacy of love, loyalty, and benevolence secured his place in so many hearts, it will be impossible to forget him. Rest in peace, our dear William. Until we meet again.
