Carol Virginia Rosinski transitioned from this life to the next on February 12th, 2021, in King George, Virginia. Her journey into eternal rest was peaceful as she spent her last moments on Earth in her bed, surrounded by loved ones.
Carol was born in New York City, New York, in March of 1934, and prided herself on being a true New Yorker- she never resisted the opportunity to wear her I love NY shirt. She was born to Louis and Dorothy Rempe Doyle and adored her parents.
Though she struggled with her vision from an early age, she was determined not to let that stop her from achieving her goals. Carol was trained as a nurse and spent her career working to help provide medical care for others. In addition to working as a nurse, Carol also took in multiple foster children to care for over the years.
Carol was a proud Irish Catholic from birth and never resisted the opportunity to converse with anyone about their heritage or hers. One of her proudest achievements was traveling to Ireland to connect with her ancestral lineage.
Faith was one of Carol’s guiding pillars through life, and she always made time to say the rosary each day. For several decades she attended mass at St. Francis Cabrini in Tucson, Arizona. Whenever someone was in need or experiencing hardship, she would offer them comfort by letting them know they “were in her prayers.”
Carol had a wide range of hobbies. She enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, taking a dip in the pool, reading a mystery novel or enjoying an episode of Golden Girls. She also had a sweet tooth, especially for a Reeses. Carol enjoyed going out to eat and had a big heart for animals. Her green thumb was evident with the many wonderful plants she had. Carol brought many smiles in her 86 years to the family and friends that knew her. She was a wonderful person who all will miss.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Karen Slachter (Eric); grandchildren, Allyse Fritz-Coleman (Andrew), Ethan Slachter, Michael Murphy, and Amber Martin (Alex); four great-grandchildren and two nieces, and a nephew.
Carol is reunited with her husband, Mitchell Rosinski, son, Andrew Murphy, sister, Dorothy Wharton, and beloved cat Rosie.
