Rosa Bernice Taylor Cox, 92 of Richmond, formerly of Ruther Glen passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 in Henrico Doctors Hospital. Born in Caroline County, she was a longtime member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Ruther Glen. Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Carneal Verdi; her son, Kenneth Lewis Carneal; two step children, Alan Cox (Debbie) and Terry Stephenson (Brian); her sister, Ruth Beckner; five grandchildren, Marc, Jeffrey and Patrick Verdi and Kenneth and Andrew Carneal and four step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cox; her parents, Jesse J. Taylor and Sallie Southworth Taylor; her brothers, James Monroe Taylor, Raymond Lewis Taylor, Roger Lee Taylor, Sr., Herbert Wilson Taylor, and Charles Edward Taylor and her sister, Shirley Temple Taylor. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13^th at 2:00pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Pastor Mark Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.
