Florence Nightingale Lyons, 97 of Colonial Beach, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at her home. She was born Saturday, April 21, 1923 to the late Ellsworth Nightingale and Bessie Drowns Nightingale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bucky Lyons, and a grandson Bo Lyons.

Florence is survived by her sons, Buddy and Kenny Lyons; a nephew, Alan Nightingale; Grandchildren, Kevin Lyons, Tawnya Lyons, Billy Lyons, Jeanette Jones and Amy Miller; great grandchildren Jonathan Clarke, Clay Lyons as well as many more grandchildren; and a grand-daughter-in-law, Lori Lyons.

Funeral Services will be private with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, 225 Dennison St, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
