James Thornton Jett, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his home in King George.

Born the son of the late Charles Thurston and Ruby Evangeline Lee Jett, he was a King George native and had worked as an owner/operator in Trucking. He loved Western movies and television and enjoyed cooking, especially crabs and chicken wings. He cherished time spent with family and friends.

Among his survivors, Wilma Cowart Jett, his wife of 50 years; Children, Jennifer Walter (Daniel), James Jett, Jr. (Rachel) and Michelle Jett (Billy); grandchildren, Ryan Walter, Morgan Jett and Cheyenne Smith; great grandchildren, Adam and Amelia; brothers, Charles and Larry Jett; granddogs, Darkness and Ruger and several cats who made themselves at home with him. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by grandson, Chance Jett.

There will be a Life Celebration Gathering at a later date.
