Frank F. Coates III, 70 of Colonial Beach, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, at his home.  Son to the late Frank F. Coates, Jr. and Joyce Strother Coates.  Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years Candace Curley Coates.  Beloved father of Frank Folsom Coates IV (Michele) and Ashley Coates Jacobs (Wesley).  Beloved grandfather to Hunter Coates Bristow, longtime friend to Zedda Viets, and best friend to his four legged son, Peyton.

Frank’s love for Corvettes began at age 13.  He was known worldwide as “The Corvette Man”.  Frank was the owner of F & A Corvette in Colonial Beach, which he founded in 1980 and became the go-to place for Corvette lovers.  Frank was proud that F & A is now one of the oldest businesses in Colonial Beach.  He passed his passion for Corvettes on to his family who will ensure that his legacy lives on.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, at Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach Chapel from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 7, at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oak Grove with Father Ron Okrasinski officiating.
