Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintHenry Otto Wilson (Hank) passed away on September 9, 2020 from natural causes in Quezon City, Philippines at the age of 83 with his devoted wife (Benita) and her children at his side. He was born in Seattle, WA and was preceded in death by his father (T. Harry Wilson), his mother (Margaret Pruessman Wilson), and his sister (Patricia Ann Wilson). Henry spent part of his youth in Italy as his father was a career Navy officer. He served as a military policeman for six months in 1957, then completed his service obligation in the Army Reserves. Henry attended Syracuse University but received his undergraduate degree from American University in Washington, DC. He began a career in journalism (WMAL in Washington, DC and WGN in Chicago, IL), followed by becoming a stockbroker (Dean Witter Reynolds in Seattle, WA and London, UK), and ending as a psychotherapist. Throughout his life, Henry’s primary interests were politics, travel, great food and wine, bantering with lifelong friends, football, baseball, and horseracing. He was an inexhaustible fount of knowledge and quite the charmer. Henry will be missed by his four children: Catherine (Gerard) Cox of Arlington, VA; Sean (Amy) Wilson of Fairfax, VA; Jessica (Richard) Davies of London, UK; and Samantha (Kevin) Giles of London, UK as well as his eight grandchildren: Alexander and Caroline Cox, Benjamin (Margaret) and Stephanie Wilson, Delilah and Robert Davies, and Georgia and Eliza Giles. His first two marriages (Shirley Niemeyer; Geraldine Russell) ended in divorce. A private Catholic graveside service will be held on June 15, 2021 at Arlington National Cemetery.
