Funeral Services to be held in the loving memory of Howard Elliott Friedland, a distinguished Korean War Veteran, that passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Kissimmee, Florida. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 12, 1930, he retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) after 20 years of loyal U.S. military service. Following his time in the military, he had a second career where he was a partner in two Baltimore based corporations, E & H Furniture and Hollins Distributors. Later, Howard retired to Solivita Senior Retirement Community in Kissimmee till his passing. He is survived by his loving family that includes: his devoted wife of over 70 years, Marlene, his 3 sons Steve Friedland and daughter-in-law Blanca, Les Friedland and daughter-in law Debbie, Rodney Friedland and daughter-in-law Stella, 8 grandchildren Jeffrey, Tracy, Jessica, Allison, Kevin, Jake, Ryan, and David, and 7 great grandchildren Chase, Ariana, Tanner, Easton, Madison, Meadow and Juniper. Howard is survived by his brother Theodore Friedland and sister-in-law Diane, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Irwin Friedland, his mother Anna Friedland, his brother Edward Friedland, and his sisters Barbara Engle, and Lenora Krew. A funeral service with full military honors will be held in the Arlington National Cemetery at a future date to be announced. A remembrance gathering will be held proceeding services.
