Betty Reynolds Broughton, 90, of King George County died Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the home of her loving daughter Linda Clare.

Born December 26, 1930, in Lancaster, VA she was the oldest child of Ford and Cora Reynolds.   She is survived by her daughter Linda Clare (Sue); her stepdaughter Candice Waris and her children Jennifer Taylor (Randy), Tiffany Devening and Krystal Devening; her stepson David Broughton and his children Nikki Broughton and Jacqui Broughton; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and her sister Jane McDaniel (Lawrence) of King George.

Betty was blessed to have three special care givers: Meaghan Stanley, T. Shaw, and Lisa Mann.

In addition to her parents; Betty was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Perry Broughton; her sister, Janice R. McDaniel; and her brothers: Wayne, Luther, Julian, and Robert Lewis.

She graduated from King George High School. Betty made a career at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA where she worked for more than 20 years. Betty also worked for W. F. Booth and Son in Kilmarnock, VA. She was a life member of Hanover Baptist Church, and also a member of the Eastern Star of Colonial Beach.

A private graveside service for family only will be held at Historyland Memorial Park, King George, VA.
