Mildred Martinez Brignoni, 84, of Ruther Glen, passed away peacefully with her devoted daughter Marlene Martinez Griffin and son-in-law Robert by her side on Saturday, June 5, 2021. She was born on June 11, 1936 in Manhattan, New York, daughter of the late Rafael and Isabel Caro Muñiz. She was also preceded in death by husbands Manuel Martinez and Michael A. Brignoni, her twin sister Lillian Crespo and brother Nelson Muñiz.

In her early years, along with raising her four children, Mildred ran the day-to-day operations of her husband’s successful construction company in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In her later years, she so much enjoyed going to the Caroline County Senior Café, to partake in their activities, eat, meet old and new friends and chat!

Besides her daughter Marlene and son-in-law Robert, she leaves to mourn her, her son’s Manuel Martinez & wife Jenny Razo of Roselle Park, New Jersey; Ronald Martinez & Josie Cardona of Carolina, Puerto Rico; and Jeffrey Martinez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; four granddaughters, Melissa Griffin and Clay Stearns of Mechanicsville, Va.; Millie, Francesca, & Angelica Martinez of Roselle Park, New Jersey; two grandsons, Sebastian & Andres Martinez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; three great grandsons Cayden, Alaric and Jordan of Mechanicsville, Va.; as well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial Service information will be held in NY and will be announced at a later date.
