Shirley Meares Collum, 85 of Richmond, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, she was the widow of John Daniel Collum.

Survivors include her children, Janelle (Gay) Born (Doug), John W. Collum (Joseph Drew), Grayland Collum (Annette), and Melissa Wyatt (Dale); grandchildren Daniel Mills (Rachel Chapdelaine), Ryan Collum (Amanda), Erik Mills, and Anna Collum (Austin Barnett); great-grandchildren Mason and Nolan Collum; brother-in-law James (Jimmy) Collum and sister-in-law Juanita Collum; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 11:00 am at Round Oak Baptist Church, Corbin. Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery, Bowling Green.
