Carlton Gordon Middlebrook Sr., 93, of King George County, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021, at his home.  He was born the son of Charles and Grace Middlebrook in Dahlgren, VA on April 11, 1928.  He is survived by his only son, Carlton G. Middlebrook, Jr. and three grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ella, and his daughter, Terrie Lynn Torre.  He graduated from VPI College, was in the U.S. Army and retired after 38 years as an engineer at the Naval Surface Weapons Laboratory in Dahlgren, VA.  After he retired, he volunteered as a tour guide at the Dahlgren Museum.

He was a long-time member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 89 in King George, VA.

A funeral service will be held 12noon on Monday, August 2nd at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel, 11089 James Madison Parkway, King George with a visitation one-hour prior. Rev. Randy Allensworth will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, King George.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.storkefuneralhome.com.
