Laria (Lorene) Samuel Pitts, 89 of Milford, Virginia, passed away on July 31, 2021, at VCU Medical Center. This wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. She was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and pet lover. One never left her home hungry, and her passion for flowers and gardening kept her active and happy.

Loved ones that preceded Laria in death are her son, Otis (Junior) Samuel, and her husbands; Otis Samuel and Edward Pitts. Loved ones that will miss Laria until they meet again are her children; Thelma Carneal (Frank), Joyce Carter (Julian), and Donald Samuel; her beloved grandchildren; JR Carter, Willie Carneal, and Lisa Carter Woodroof; and eight great-grandchildren. A special thank-you to Michelle Wyant and her family for the loving care that she provided for our mother.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 5^th at 2:00pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Wright’s Burying Ground. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
