Sarah Ann Marie LaPonsa Bowles, 83, of Colonial Beach, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence. Sarah Ann was born Saturday, October 30, 1937 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Michigan. She was the only child of the late Peter and Sarah O’Connor LaPonsa. Sarah Ann lived in Colonial Beach for 27 years where she was a very active and devoted member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. She loved all animals but she especially loved dogs.
Sarah Ann is survived by her son, John Louis Bowles (Noreen) and her daughter, Sarah Catherine Bowles. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Louis Bowles.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Colonial Beach. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Storke Funeral Home, 131 3rd Street, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
