Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintMollie Calloway was born on October 9, 1934 to the late Willie & Henrietta Harvey in King George, VA. Our beloved Mollie entered the gates of heaven quietly and peacefully on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mollie was baptized at an early age and joined Salem Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her passing. Mollie loved her church and church family and always made a joyful noise in the Senior Choir. Mollie received her education in the King George County public school system.
Mollie spent her early years in King George, VA. As a young adult she moved to Philadelphia, PA and Athens, GA before moving back home in the late 80’s. Mollie was employed for many years as an In-home caregiver. Many of the families she remained close with. We, the family, would like to take this time to thank the Fenwick family for the love and care they continued to show her over the years.
Mollie was proceeded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Roberta Samuel (Kenneth}, 2 grandsons Ken and Eric Samuel, 2 great-grandchildren Issiah and Cheyane Samuel. One sister Louise H. Campbell. A special and devoted friend Robert Holmes. A special and devoted second family Darryl & Tina Brooks, Asia, Axriya, and Devon. A special nephew Jericho Logan. A devoted niece and caregiver Alice Moore. And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 21, at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel. A graveside service will take place at 11 am Wednesday, September 22, at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Bland officiating.
Your weary hours, days of pain
And troubled nights are passed,
And in our hearts we truly know
You have found peace at last.
Your life is a beautiful memory,
Your absence a silent grief.
You now sleep in God’s lovely garden
In the sunshine of perfect peace.
Visitation & Funeral Service Information
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 21, at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.
A graveside service will take place at 11 am Wednesday, September 22 at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Bland officiating.
