Ruth Ann “Buffy” Christensen, 72, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at her residence.

Buffy was born in New Jersey to the late Henry and Mabel Christensen. She served her country with distinction in the US Army as a communications center specialist, and retired after more than 20 years with the United States Postal Service.

In addition to her parents, Buffy was preceded in death by her brother William H. Hildebrand of Oklahoma and Rena DeValle of New Jersey.

She is survived by her dear friend and caregiver Pattilynn “Patti” Mullenhour; her former spouse, Teresa Windlan; and numerous friends and neighbors.

A graveside service will take place at 1 pm Thursday, October 7, at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.  Memorial donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice, 111 Olde Greenwich Dr., Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
