Jesse V. Hayes, 69, of King George, VA passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Champlain, VA to Sally Mary Hayes and the late John William Hayes, Sr.

Jesse served his country with distinction in the US Air Force as a technical sergeant. Following retirement, he worked as an operator for Culpeper Wood Preservers until taking full time responsibility for the care of his beloved wife, Suzette. He also enjoyed hunting and NASCAR.

In addition to his mother, Jesse is survived by his wife, Suzette; his children, Teresa Powell, William Hayes, Patricia Wilson and Dow Boyer; his siblings, Jean Paulk, John Hayes, Jr., James Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Julian Hayes, Joseph Hayes, Jackie Hayes, Janice Toner, Janet Corcoran, and Jeffrey Hayes; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Friday, October 8, at Historyland Memorial Park, 11227 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA.
