She was born October 18, 1934, to Robert F. and Vashti Clift in Dogue, VA. She graduated King George High School in 1953. After graduation, Mary Ann went to Northern Virginia and worked for the FBI in Files and then worked at Weaver Brothers as a bookkeeper. Mary Ann moved back to King George in 1976 and then worked at King George Social Services as a Senior Eligibility Associate.
Mary Ann provided extensive service to the King George County Planning Commission serving as chairman and a member. She also made a bid for the King George County Board of Supervisors in 1991.
Mary Ann enjoyed many years as a member and Regent of the Leedstown Resolution Chapter of DAR. Being a DAR member supported her love of Virginia history and ancestry research.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Barbara Taylor (Gil); son, Douglas Cameron (Belinda); daughter, Diane Anderson (Dave); granddaughters, Sarah French (Andy), Samantha Anderson, Rebecca Anderson and grandsons, Andy Taylor; Bryan Cameron (Selah); great-granddaughters, Elena Johnston, Catherine French and great-grandson, Theodore French; sister Peggy Hall, brothers Jerry Clift (Ellen June), Donald Clift, Matt Clift (Judy) and sister-in-law Janice Clift.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Larry Cameron; her parents, Robert F. Clift and Vashti Clift, her son David M. Cameron, her brother Joe Clift and brother-in-law Hugh Hall.
A private graveside service will be held.
