Carl Calvin “Bigums” Smith, 56 of King George, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. Born in Fredericksburg on Sunday, March 20, 1965 to the late Charles and Frances Smith, Carl was a graduate of King George High School. He enjoyed basketball, fishing, working on cars and detailing. He loved the Pittsburg Steelers and L.A. Lakers. Carl enjoyed going to the racetrack with his buddy, Jimbo.

Survivors include his siblings: Earlene (George) Johnson, Bernard (Karen) Smith and Titia (Kenneth) Clayton all of Colonial Beach; Lavern (Johnny) Brooks, Barbara Smith, Kenneth Smith and Karen Smith all of King George; Charles (Lalarne) Smith, Jr. of Fredericksburg; Jerry (Shirley) Smith of Bowling Green; Aunt Virginia Jackson of Montross; Uncles: John (Maude) Smith of Colonial Beach, Danny Bankett of Maryland, Rev. Joseph Dobbins of Port Royal, and Robert Johnson of North Carolina; a beloved of nieces and nephews; special friends Cheryl Jones, Stacy Brown, Richard (Ricky) Smith, Joe Johnson, Eric Shade, Robert Whiting; and caretaker until death Kendra Smith. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother Robert M. Smith.

Graveside Service will be held at 1pm at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Friday, November 19. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
